Yangbin Wang - Chief Executive Officer

Prior to founding Vobile, Yangbin was the CTO of Onewave Technologies following the acquisition of the IPTV business of YZTECH by Onewave in 2004. He was the Founder and CEO of YZTECH, a leading IPTV technology provider in China famous for the landmark deployment of its IPTV platform by Hangzhou Netcom/WASU. It was the first and largest commercial IPTV service offering in China. Previously, Yangbin was the Founder and CEO of EnjoyWeb, which pioneered the time-shift delivery of video contents via broadband Internet. In addition, Yangbin was Director of Software Architecture at Oak Technology's Broadband Consumer Group. He also participated in several startups. At the outset of his career, he was a Research Engineer at Compression Labs (CLI) and General Instrument (GI). Yangbin earned a BS degree from Zhejiang University in China and an MSEE degree from the University of Florida, Gainesville. He also completed executive education program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Mike Witte - Executive Vice President of Business
Development & Sales

Mike has more than 20 years of experience in high-tech including senior management roles with content-management, ecommerce and Internet companies. Prior to Vobile, Mike was Vice President of Business Development and Sales at Advestigo, where he was responsible for all North American business and strategic partnerships. Before Advestigo, he was Vice President of Business Development and Sales at BitPass,an ecommerce solution provider (acquired by Digital River), and headed Major Account Sales for secure content-management solution provider Macrovision, where he successfully developed and launched an industry leading web-based P2P anti-piracy service for the global movie, music, games and software industries. Earlier, Mike co-founded FlexStar Technology, a leading hard drive test equipment manufacturer and helped launch Seiko Instruments' PC Products division. Mike holds a BA degree in English from the University of California at Santa Barbara.


Tim Erwin - Senior Vice President of Sales and Customer Relations

Prior to joining Vobile, Tim was Senior Vice President, Sales and Customer Relations, Home Entertainment, for Rentrak Corporation.  He had been with Rentrak for 23 years and, prior to his promotion in January 2007, held positions including Vice President of Customer Relations, Sr. Director of Customer Relations, and Manager of Customer Services and Key Accounts.  He has worked closely with Hollywood studios to help bring the revenue sharing distribution model to brick and mortar rental retailers his entire career. Prior to joining Rentrak, Tim was a District Manager for National Video.

Ben Smith - Senior Vice President of Business Development

Ben has more than 15 years experience in digital media, and is the founder of Blayze Inc. Prior to Blayze, Ben was an early Google and YouTube business exec behind YouTube’s biggest partnerships and strategic efforts. Ben created many first of its kind social media partnerships on the web, and lead YouTube’s efforts with Hollywood for years. He helped bridge the gap between Hollywood and Silicon Valley, leaving YouTube HQ to be the company's first businessperson in Los Angeles. His past YouTube customers and clients include a who's who of top YouTube partners, and have generated more than two billion combined monthly views and millions of combined subscribers.

Simon Zhu - Senior Vice President of Product Management

Simon has over 10 years of experience in technology innovation, product management and product marketing in digital video distribution and monetization, mobile, video and TV advertising solutions and broadband telecommunication systems. He joined Vobile directly after obtaining his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, during which he co-founded a cross-device mobile data startup,conducted an independent research project on cross-device video advertising, and worked in product management at Turn Inc, a cross-channel RTB Demand-Side Platform and Data Management Platform, and LiquidM, a white-labeled Mobile Advertising Management Platform. Earlier in his career, he was scientist at Corning Inc’s European Technology Center in Fontainebleau France and Global Research Center in Corning NY, and led the invention of several best-selling high capacity broadband fiber optical systems and wireless networks.  Simon published over 20 academic papers, 1 book chapter, and registered 1 patent.Besides of MBA from Stanford, Simon earned his BS degree from Peking University in China and MS degree from McMaster University in Canada, both in Engineering.
